About The Position

Mental Health Professional (MHP) provides group and individual psychiatric rehabilitative and case management services to adults with a history of multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and in need of long-term care stabilization. You will participate with the interdisciplinary teams in developing and implementing therapeutic services and interventions. This role is part of a family-like environment where employees become partners in patient's journey to healthy living, providing compassion and companionship. Bourbonnais Terrace is a Specialized Mental Health and Rehab Facility (SMHRF) for the non-aggressive mentally ill/behavior health population, focusing on recovery and rehabilitation. The center is JACHO accredited and utilizes a successful Life Skills Program. Patients are independent and do not require lifting.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a PRSC or mental health professional in a licensed nursing home, intermediate care facility, or specialized mental health rehab facility is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology) and have a minimum of 1 year of supervised experience in mental health or human services is preferred.
  • Minimum qualifications are an unrelated Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years in a mental health profession/role or a high school diploma and 5 or more years in the mental health profession with clinical supervision.
  • Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) is ideal, but not required.
