This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Greater Greenville Mental Health Center, 124 Mallard St, Greenville, SC 29601. Under direct supervision, provides screening, assessment and other mental health services for individuals and/or families experiencing mental health, emotional disturbance and/or substance abuse problems. Coordinates care with professional staff, both medical and non-medical, including partnering agencies and/or other systems of care.

Requirements

A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care (this experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience). Please be sure to provide specific clinical activities on your application and/or resume.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Knowledge and skills in conducting needs assessment.
Knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

Provide an array of out-patient mental health services, crisis management, individual and group therapeutic interventions to adults with serious mental illness, emotional disturbance /or co-morbid substance abuse disorders.
Provide screening and clinical assessments for persons experiencing mental health, emotional disturbance and/or substance abuse issues.
Work with other professionals to develop an initial plan of care and coordinates services with other community service providers.
Document all clinical work in accordance with Office of Mental Health (OMH) Quality Assurance standards.
Support the organization’s Corporate Compliance Program.
