About The Position

Providence is hiring Mental Health Counselor Masters for its Youth Behavioral Residential Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The role supports all aspects of clinical programming for the Crisis Recovery Center and provides direct client care in assigned areas, including assessment, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, group therapy, and milieu therapy. The counselor plans and provides education for clients, families, peers, and the community, and coordinates services with other health care professionals, including physicians or advanced registered nurse practitioners responsible for client care.

The posting lists a full-time schedule of 1.0 FTE, evening shift, 40 hours per week, and a per diem schedule of 0.01 FTE, variable shift, with hours as needed. A $10,000 hiring bonus is available to eligible external hires who meet payment qualifications and conditions; the per diem position is not eligible for the bonus. Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a health-related field.

Nice To Haves

• Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Two years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities
