About The Position

The Mental Health Specialist works with other members of the Mental Health Specialist staff to provide clerical and admitting support and student care. This includes assisting nursing and clinical staff with unit functions such as documentation, physical care, and therapeutic interventions with students. The positions are based at Providence Youth Behavioral Health Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Available schedules include full-time day, night, and evening shifts; part-time day and night shifts; part-time variable shifts; and per diem variable shifts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Complete a First Aid course within 60 days of hire; completion is tracked by the department.

Nice To Haves

• Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
