A key duty is providing mental health services and support to student victims of crime. The role includes individual and group therapeutic counseling, case management, consultation with faculty and staff, and submitting monthly reports. The specialist must stay current with licensing through continued learning and training. Program planning, staffing, and evaluation with other professional counseling staff are also part of the duties. Additionally, the role coordinates all aspects of a university accessibility services program. Administrative duties and other assigned tasks are expected.
