Mental Health Coordinator / Supervisor

About The Position
The Mental Health Coordinator oversees mental health services at the facility, providing clinical and administrative supervision and direction to mental health staff. The role also provides mental health services to inmate patients and consultation to facility personnel. The coordinator is responsible for helping ensure quality mental health care is provided to both staff and inmate patients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a behavioral science field.
- Experience coordinating and administering mental health service delivery systems.
- Coursework and professional experience indicating knowledge of management and supervision techniques, mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders, and/or psychological evaluation techniques.
- Licensed to practice psychology or social work in the state by the appropriate state licensing board.
- Must maintain CPR certification and any other required certifications, such as First Aid.
- Must reside in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and manage clinical services provided by mental health staff, and allocate resources to meet institutional needs.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision and direction to mental health staff, including disciplinary counseling and performance evaluations.
- Provide mental health services to inmates and consult with facility personnel as needed.
- Coordinate with facility administrative staff and maintain the confidentiality of inmate information.
- Develop and implement corrective steps to ensure the provision of quality mental health care.
- Notify supervisory personnel of significant clinical or administrative concerns.
