Mental Health Coordinator
About The Position
VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring a full-time Mental Health Coordinator at Kenosha County Detention Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and monitoring a Behavioral Health delivery system that meets NCCHC/ACA standards. The role coordinates total contract services in collaboration with the Regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist. The Mental Health Coordinator serves as an administrative point of contact on treatment programs and problem resolution; coordinates policies and procedures for identifying, assessing, and providing clinical services to inmates; supervises the planning and implementation of contracted treatment programs; and provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to Behavioral Health Services staff. The position also monitors service quality and timeliness, assigns clinical on-call duties, supports psychiatric staff, and coordinates the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
Requirements
- Doctorate or master’s degree in Psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Fully licensed, or license eligible with an application pending, to practice psychology or social work in South Carolina.
- Satisfactory background investigation report.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a point of contact for administrative staff to discuss treatment programs and resolve problems as needed.
- Coordinates the development and revision of policies and procedures for identifying, assessing, and providing required clinical services for inmates.
- Supervises the planning, development, and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
- Provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to Behavioral Health Services staff.
- Monitors Behavioral Health Services to ensure clinical services are provided in a timely and professional manner, and provides and assigns clinical on-call duties.
- Ensures contracted treatment programs are integrated and appropriately staffed.
- Provides administrative support to psychiatric staff.
- Coordinates the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
- Coordinates total contract services with the Regional Manager, Site Administrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist.
