About The Position

McKinley is seeking a Compliance Specialist who is passionate about their mission and H.U.M.A.N. values. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the content compliance of all documentation within the client record. This role involves managing daily department functions, liaising with external agencies to maintain up-to-date procedures, participating in regulatory audits, conducting quality assurance activities, and performing periodic record reviews for both active and discharged clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or in any other related discipline
  • Required Prior DMH Quality Assurance Experience including knowledge of Integrated System and billing codes and requirements or Case Management Experience
  • Word Processing, e-mail, internet, ability to learn clinical software, basic office skills (i.e. typing, telephone, copier)
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites on and off campus
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Ability to physically restrain children (if needed)
  • DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index Insurability Under Corporate Automobile Insurance

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and Processing County and Department Documentation
  • Updating Financial forms and creating new and maintaining record of due dates
  • Reviewing documentation for compliance with regulatory and agency standards and to ensure they reflect a high level of care
  • Attend county meetings, QIC Meetings and EDI Workgroups in absence of Supervisor
  • Monitor the accuracy of records, documents, and billing and complete reconciliation of services as needed
  • Report any and all documentation deficiencies and/or compliance concerns to the AVP of Contract Compliance, Director of Compliance, Department VPs and Directors in a timely manner
  • Monitors and corrects claims on the Claims preventing invoicing queue
  • Conduct consumer surveys as needed
  • Collects and downloads department compliance forms and documentation into the appropriate data system.
  • Audits client charts on a monthly basis
  • Assist service delivery staff in completing/correcting documentation
  • Organize and prepare records for visits and audits
  • Coordinate any procedural and/or documentation changes with the AVP of Contract Compliance
  • Actively participate in the agency’s Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) Plan
  • Other related duties as needed
