Responsible for delivering paraprofessional mental health care under direct supervision. The specialist will serve as an active member of the mental health team, providing community-based care while considering safety, patients' rights, and comfort. They will utilize master treatment plans to identify and implement age-appropriate interventions, reinforce positive behavior, and set limits on inappropriate behavior. The role also includes identifying potential aggressive behavior, applying de-escalation techniques, documenting client responses, and assisting family members. Basic medical tasks, assisting clients with daily living activities, transporting clients, and organizing recreational activities may also be required. The specialist will also answer phones and respond to calls professionally.
