The Mobile Crisis Team is a trained multidisciplinary response team that provides crisis intervention services in various settings, including community locations where individuals live, work, attend school, engage in services, or socialize. The team's services are designed to interrupt and ameliorate the crisis experience, including culturally and linguistically competent assessments, development of crisis diversion, safety, or relapse prevention plans, support during and after a crisis, and coordination with referrals to necessary health, social services, and supports, including peer/family support services. The team aims to divert unnecessary hospitalizations and arrests, promote engagement in services, reduce symptoms, achieve stabilization, restore individuals to their previous level of functioning, and develop coping mechanisms to minimize future crises. The Mobile Crisis Team serves Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties.
