About The Position

NaphCare is hiring a Mental Health Clerk to join their team of medical professionals at the Eyman facility in Florence, AZ. This role provides administrative and clerical support to the Mental Health Director and Health Services Administrator within a correctional environment where security is a top priority. The days are never dull in this controlled setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate.
  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
  • One (1) year of clerical experience, preferably in a correctional setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct.
  • Compliance with all corporate policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming calls, direct/transfer calls to appropriate staff, retrieve all voicemails daily and return calls as necessary.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) to prepare reports, memos, and correspondence.
  • Utilize specific software (X-Jail, TechCare) as needed.
  • Perform clerical and administrative functions including tracking supplies, utilizing purchase orders for outside vendors, and distributing mail.
  • Enter client data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including case notes, payments, and scheduling.
  • Shred all documentation containing Patient Health Information (PHI).
  • Coordinate with Records Department for archiving files and reports.
  • Coordinate volunteer services.
