Greater Norwalk Head Start / Early Head Start, a program of the Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc., seeks a full-time Mental Health and Disabilities Services Professional. This position is responsible for assuring that programs meet 100% of the related Federal Performance Standards, including services to children with mental health concerns and behavior issues and their families, development and monitoring of children’s IEP or IFSP progress, working closely with the Management team and Teaching staff, and Parent Education as a whole or on a case-by-case basis working with special needs children. Responsible to provide classroom support for children with mental health needs and IEP supports. This position includes leading the annual developmental screenings such as the ASQ, and coordinates services with Birth-to-Three and Norwalk Public Schools to ensure push-in and child busing services are successful.
