About The Position

Support and assist the head coach as needed to ensure the success of the team. This role involves assisting with team practices and competitions, planning and implementing practice sessions, and managing necessary league eligibility forms, rosters, and coaching materials. The assistant coach will also aid in recruitment efforts and other team needs as assigned by the head coach. The position requires effective teamwork, embracing the university's mission, and completing institutional training.

Requirements

Four-year college degree
2+ years coaching at the high school or collegiate level
Strong leadership experience
Well-developed communication skills
Current coaching certifications and/or licenses with the respective governing body is required.
Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position.

Responsibilities

Assist the head coach with team practices and competitions.
Assist with the planning, organizing, and implementing team practices.
Assist with the completion of all necessary league eligibility forms, rosters, and coaching materials.
Assist in recruitment efforts.
Assist with team needs as assigned by the head coach.
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
Complete institutional-required trainings.
