About The Position

This role involves taking orders, inputting them into the POS system, and serving food and beverages. The attendant must be knowledgeable about all food and beverage products and their preparation, adhering to Club service standards. Responsibilities include preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, assisting members and guests with their clothing and shoes in the locker room, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the locker room and fire pit areas. The role also requires performing porter and housekeeping duties as requested, maintaining a professional appearance, and providing prompt attention to all members and guests. Accuracy in verifying member numbers and prices before presenting checks is crucial. The attendant must handle complaints effectively, communicate them to management, and work with a sense of urgency without disrupting the locker room atmosphere. Stocking and maintaining the popcorn and snack area, performing opening and closing duties, and utilizing the Jonas POS system for accurate communication are also key functions. The role may involve cross-training and assisting in other club areas, and occasionally driving a golf cart on and off the property.

  • Must be a minimum age of 18 years.
  • Must have valid TABC certification to serve alcohol.
  • Must have valid Food Handler’s certification to serve food (per Texas law).
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and/or sit up to eight hours per day.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and/or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Hearing and talking sufficient enough to communicate with members, guests and staff.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, vision sufficient enough to read, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Independent mobility through clubhouse.
  • Able to work with gas and light a fire at the pit.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders, input orders into the POS, and serve food and beverages.
  • Be knowledgeable about all food and beverage products and their preparation.
  • Comply with all Club food and beverage service standards.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages and cocktails.
  • Assist members and guests with clothes, golf shoes, street shoes, and other needs in the Locker Room areas.
  • Assist with shoe care and assure accurate member/guest shoe delivery.
  • Help with the care and maintenance of the Locker Room and Fire Pit.
  • Keep all areas tidy and neat, including porter and housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
  • Provide equal and immediate attention to all members/guests upon arrival.
  • Verify accuracy of member number and prices before presenting the check.
  • Effectively handle complaints and communicate them to manager or supervisor.
  • Work with a “sense of urgency” on behalf of the membership without disrupting the atmosphere of the locker room.
  • Keep popcorn and snack area stocked, refreshed, and clean.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Properly execute the Jonas POS system for accurate communication.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager.
  • Cross train and work/assist in other areas of the club as needed.
  • Drive a golf cart on property and in the neighborhood when required.
  • Submit all cash tips according to the Pooling Tip Policy.
  • Treat all members and guests equally and according to Club standards.
  • Do not serve alcohol to intoxicated members/guests or anyone under the age of 21.
  • Always ask for ID if legal drinking age (21) is a concern.
  • Report intoxicated members/guests and children asking for alcoholic beverages to supervisor or manager on duty immediately.
  • If a member/guest appears to be impaired and is driving, offer alternate transportation.
  • Comply with all TABC and Club regulations concerning alcoholic beverage service.
