Cisco•San Jose, CA
•$162,500 - $205,400•Hybrid

About The Position

The Memory Semiconductor Component Engineering Technical Leader will serve as Cisco’s domain authority in memory technologies, advising internal and external technical partners on selecting, validating, and qualifying memory components for Cisco products. The role is part of the Component Quality and Technology team and works directly with Cisco design, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams, as well as component vendors. This is a hybrid position. The role analyzes and influences vendor roadmaps, participates in technical reviews and memory-component selection for next-generation products, and guides Cisco design and engineering teams on recommending and integrating next-generation memory. It also assesses emerging technologies, architectures, industry roadmaps, and supplier capabilities for technical feasibility, performance, reliability, quality, and readiness for future products. The position leads end-to-end component and system failure investigations and works with vendors on corrective and preventive actions. The position requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and at least eight years of experience in memory design/application or Field Application Engineering. Cisco lists a projected U.S. and/or Canada starting salary range of $162,500 to $205,400, with higher or different ranges for specified locations. U.S. benefits and paid time away are described in the posting, subject to eligibility and company policies.
