About The Position
Maryville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Memory Care Professional to join their team. The Memory Care Unit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Thrive program is implemented daily and facilitated by Life Enrichment Coordinators, Life Enrichment Assistants, and direct care team members. This role also involves general oversight of the Courtyard community in cooperation with the Administrator and Health Care Coordinator, and working closely with the Life Enrichment team and direct care staff to ensure a functional and appropriate program.
Requirements
- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia
- At least one year of supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills required
- Must be able to demonstrate good judgement, prioritization of duties, and effective problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s progression in older adults required
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior background in senior living, social work, recreational therapy, or nursing preferred
