Memory Care Support Partner 7pm-7am $18-26.25 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Cedar Trails in Freeburg, IL. This part-time role involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be responsible for understanding resident needs, developing engagement plans, and ensuring a positive living environment. This role requires a patient, observant, and proactive individual who can partner with residents throughout their daily lives, document care effectively, and assist with orienting new team members.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
- Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
- Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
