Memory Care Support Partner 7am-7pm $18-26.25 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Cedar Trails in Freeburg, IL. This part-time role involves creating human connections with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and managing the environment to enhance resident experiences. You will partner with residents throughout their daily lives, document care, and assist with orienting new team members. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, have a positive attitude, possess basic computer skills, and are physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires the ability to assist residents with mobility and to be criminally cleared.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
- Active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, activity areas, and resident rooms.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
