About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Vitalia Mentor. This part-time role focuses on creating a supportive and engaging environment for residents in memory care neighborhoods. The ideal candidate will be an advocate of empathy, a patient observer, a master of setting the stage for resident experiences, and a life partner to residents, assisting them throughout their daily lives. Responsibilities include documenting resident care and changes in condition, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care. Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and unique characteristics.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing environments such as dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
