About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Vitalia Mentor. This part-time role focuses on creating a supportive and engaging environment for residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be an advocate of empathy, a patient observer, a master of 'mise en scène' (setting the stage for a successful day), and a life partner to our residents, assisting them throughout their daily lives. This role requires excellent documentation skills and may involve assisting with the orientation of new team members. Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments through empathy.
  • Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and unique characteristics.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Prepare the environment for resident activities and routines, such as dining, events, and personal spaces.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
