About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Rock Creek in Ankeny, IA. This role is crucial in creating a supportive and empathetic environment for residents in our memory care neighborhoods. The Memory Care Support Partner will be responsible for fostering human connection, observing and understanding resident needs, setting the stage for daily activities, and partnering with residents throughout their day. This includes documenting resident care, assisting with team member orientation, and ensuring a positive living experience for all residents.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
