About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Barrymore in Kansas City, MO. This full-time position involves creating a supportive and engaging environment for residents in our memory care neighborhoods. The role emphasizes empathy, patient observation, and creating a positive living experience for residents, from preparing their environment to assisting with daily life activities. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and who can contribute to our home-like atmosphere.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, setting up for events, and preparing resident rooms for nighttime routines.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
