About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for a PRN position at The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves providing empathetic care and support to residents in memory care neighborhoods. The position focuses on creating human connections, understanding resident needs, preparing the environment for their daily routines, and assisting with all facets of daily life. The role also includes documenting resident care and assisting with team member orientation. The starting wage is $18.50-$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
