About The Position

Arrow Senior Living manages a collection of senior living communities that offer varying levels of care including independent living, assisted living, and memory care in 34 properties currently in 6 states (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Arkansas) and employs nearly 2,200 employees! This position is for a Memory Care Support Partner at The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. The role involves creating human connection with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, preparing environments for resident activities and routines, partnering with residents throughout their day, documenting resident care, and assisting with team member orientation. The starting wage is $18.50 - $24.00 per hour, and the position is PRN (as needed).

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Observe residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, including preparing dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
