About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at The Westbury in Columbia, Missouri. This role is crucial in providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," a "Patient Observer," a "Master of the Mise en Scène," and a "Life Partner" to our residents, ensuring their daily needs and experiences are met with care and understanding. You will also be responsible for documenting resident care, assisting with team member orientation, and maintaining a positive and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, activity spaces, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
