About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. This full-time position involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be responsible for understanding residents' unique needs, interests, and abilities to develop and implement personalized engagement plans. This role also involves setting the stage for a positive resident experience through environmental preparation, documenting resident care, and assisting with team member orientation. We are looking for individuals who are patient, observant, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments through empathy.
  • Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and unique characteristics.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from morning to night.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition accurately.
  • Assist with the orientation of new team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
