About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Cedar Trails in Freeburg, IL. This full-time position involves creating human connections with residents, observing their interests and abilities, and setting the stage for their daily experiences. You will partner with residents throughout their day, document their care, and assist with orienting new team members in memory care neighborhoods. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, have a positive attitude, and possess basic computer skills. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be criminally cleared.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about residents.
Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up activity spaces and preparing resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
