About The Position

Assisting Hands Littleton is seeking two compassionate caregivers to provide support for a client living with memory loss. This role focuses on building a genuine relationship with the client and becoming a trusted part of their routine, offering personal care, assistance with daily routines, companionship, and memory care support. The position emphasizes providing a calm, reassuring presence and making a meaningful difference in someone's life, distinguishing it from a fast-paced facility environment. The caregiver will encourage independence while ensuring the client feels safe, supported, and respected.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience in a facility or with an in-home care agency.
• Experience caring for someone with Alzheimer's, dementia, or another memory-related condition.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Three professional references.
• TB test within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A calm, patient personality and a genuine heart for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily routines.
• Support with getting ready for the day.
• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Provide memory care support with patience, reassurance, and gentle redirection.
• Encourage and engage the client throughout the shift.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
• Be a calm, reassuring presence for the client and their family.
