About The Position

This role focuses on providing compassionate care to a client with memory loss, emphasizing building a genuine relationship and becoming a trusted part of their routine. The caregiver will help the client feel safe, supported, and respected while encouraging independence. The position is not in a fast-paced facility but offers the opportunity to focus on one client and make a meaningful difference. The role involves providing personal care, assistance with daily routines, support with getting ready, companionship, memory care support, and maintaining a safe environment. The core of the role is to be a calm, reassuring presence and to meet the person where they are.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience in a facility or with an in-home care agency
• Experience caring for someone with Alzheimer's, dementia, or another memory-related condition
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Three professional references
• TB test within 30 days of hire
• Excellent communication skills
• A calm, patient personality and a genuine heart for older adults
