Memory Care Director 8a-5p (Full Time)
About The Position
We are looking for a Memory Care Director to join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community Mentor. This role involves being a Conductor of Culture, ensuring the Memory Care team anticipates resident needs and maintains hospitality and professionalism. You will also be a Talent Trainer, responsible for adhering to community standards, policies, and procedures during team member selection, onboarding, and training. As a Program Pioneer, you will implement and manage Memory Care programs to promote resident well-being. Finally, you will be a Curator of Care, managing the personalized care needs of residents and the expectations of their families.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or general education degree (degree in a related field is preferred).
- Minimum of two years’ experience and knowledge of theories and practices related to the care of persons living with dementia or in a related field with transferable knowledge and skills.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter information about residents.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Comfortable working primarily indoors, but may be required to work outside for events, transportation, or assisting residents to and from vehicles.
- Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities
- Ensure Memory Care team members embrace the responsibility of anticipating the needs of residents and maintaining a spirit of hospitality and professionalism in accordance with Arrow Senior Living core values.
- Ensure adherence to community standards, policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations when selecting, onboarding, and providing ongoing training for team members.
- Implement and manage Memory Care programs and services to promote and maintain the highest practicable level of physical, social, and psychological wellbeing for residents living with dementia diagnoses.
- Assemble, catalogue, and manage the personalized care needs of memory care neighborhood residents as well as the requests and expectations of family members.
