About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Director to join our team at The Summit Senior Living in Little Rock, Arkansas. This full-time position focuses on leading the Memory Care team, ensuring a high standard of care, and fostering a positive culture for residents living with dementia. The role involves managing programs, training staff, and overseeing resident care plans to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being. We are looking for an energetic individual who loves our residents and is committed to upholding Arrow Senior Living's core values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or general education degree.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience and knowledge of theories and practices related to the care of persons living with dementia or in a related field with transferable knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be comfortable working primarily indoors, but may be required to work outside for events, transportation, or assisting residents to and from vehicles.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Leadership experience as a Director in a specialized dementia program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Memory Care team members embrace the responsibility of anticipating the needs of residents and maintaining a spirit of hospitality and professionalism in accordance with Arrow Senior Living core values.
  • Ensure adherence to community standards, policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations when selecting, onboarding, and providing ongoing training for team members.
  • Implement and manage Memory Care programs and services to promote and maintain the highest practicable level of physical, social, and psychological wellbeing for residents living with dementia diagnoses.
  • Assemble, catalogue, and manage the personalized care needs of memory care neighborhood residents as well as the requests and expectations of family members.
