About The Position

As the Memory Care Director, you’ll lead and manage the memory care team, develop individualized care plans, and create programming that supports cognitive function, safety, and quality of life. You will collaborate closely with staff, residents, and families to foster a positive and engaging community.

Requirements

  • Experience in memory care, dementia care, or senior living nursing management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused mindset.
  • Ability to mentor and inspire a team of caregivers.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in a health care, mental health or social service profession or be a licensed LPN or RN.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resident care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to residents’ cognitive and physical needs.
  • Train, mentor, and support memory care staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to families and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including safety and care standards.
  • Plan and oversee engaging activities and programs designed for memory care residents.
  • Collaborate with the broader leadership team to maintain a resident-centered community.
