About The Position

This position offers an opportunity to learn about the day-to-day and seasonal fundraising functions of community-supported public radio (KUT 90.5 News and KUTX 98.9 Music). The work-study student will collaborate closely with the KUT and KUTX membership/fundraising staff. The membership team is responsible for managing relationships with listeners who financially support the station. Their duties include coordinating membership drives, processing donations, maintaining accurate member records, and providing excellent customer service to current and prospective members. This work involves creating and delivering communications to inspire giving, managing member benefits, and ensuring members feel valued and connected to the station’s mission. The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and contribute to the success of fundraising campaigns that sustain the station’s mission. Additionally, this role provides an extra set of hands to better serve members through cleaner data, quicker responses to inquiries, and improved task management.

Requirements

  • Current student at UT Austin
  • Must have a Work Study award for Fall 2026
  • Available to work between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday
