About The Position

The Indianapolis Zoo is seeking a dynamic, customer service-oriented Membership Services Coordinator to join their team. This part-time role is crucial in promoting the Zoo's mission and requires a professional attitude, composure in stressful situations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The position involves maintaining comprehensive knowledge of membership details, acting as the first point of contact for membership inquiries, processing memberships, handling customer service issues, and performing general data entry.

Requirements

One (1) year of related work experience in a customer-facing role is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
Ability to acquire and maintain competency in live-chat and Gateway ticketing software.
Proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in data entry or working with membership/ticketing software.
Experience with CRM systems, Galary or email marketing platforms.
Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of membership categories, benefits and policies.
Act as first point of contact answering calls that come to the Zoo's membership line.
Log and return voicemails.
Process and fulfill memberships, including entering, renewing and correcting records; printing and mailing membership materials daily.
Handle customer service issues including answering membership and general Zoo questions via phone and email.
Maintain competency with Galaxy POS System and Microsoft Excel.
Perform general data entry including, but not limited to, creating memberships, correcting and updating membership records.
Maintain an energetic, professional, cooperative, courteous and positive attitude while interacting with peers, coworkers and the public.
