About The Position

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining Department and Chapter Officer and Annual Financial Reports in accordance with DAV National Constitution and Bylaws. The role ensures that these reports are correctly input into the Membership Data Base.

Requirements

  • Ability to type at a speed of 55 wpm accurately
  • Data entry experience required
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to think, analyze and resolve problems
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to organize work according to work load and time schedule with very little supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand Department and Chapter activities, after reasonable training, for accurate officer reporting
  • Ability to operate office equipment: calculators, printer, typewriter, copier and PC
  • Ability to maintain pleasant working relations with all levels of personnel
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Access, compile, gather and inspect the Department and Chapter reports to ensure they conform to guidelines set forth in the DAV National Constitution Bylaws and Regulations
  • Apply accurate information into the Membership Data Base
  • Communicate with Department and/or Chapter Officers to facilitate receipt of required reports
  • Correspond verbally and in writing with Departments and/or Chapters whose reports are not compliant
  • Note all changes in status (on hold, suspensions, revocations, trusteeship) of Departments and Chapters for reporting violations
  • Communicate effectively via email
