About The Position

Aurora is seeking a full-time Membership Director to manage member relations from initial contact through renewal. This role involves working directly with the CEO and COO to establish and lead a high-performance business development and account management function. The position offers the potential for rapid growth into a senior leadership role within Growth and Business Development. The Membership Director will play a key part in building and expanding Aurora's business development function, cultivating a strong network among top founders, athletes, creatives, and family offices, and fostering a thriving member base that relies on Aurora daily. Responsibilities include direct business development, partnerships, community events, and member relations.

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with and existing relationships within elite networks, founder communities, athlete and creative circles, family offices, or similar high-signal ecosystems
  • Well-connected in at least one of New York, Miami, or Los Angeles
  • Excel at identifying, building, and nurturing relationships in high-performance networks, turning introductions or chance encounters into meaningful, trusting, long-term relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple partnerships, events, and communication streams without losing attention to detail, prioritizing the highest-leverage opportunities
  • Ability to use metrics such as lead volume, engagement patterns, conversion rates, and member behaviors to identify areas of improvement and continuously improve performance
  • Operate autonomously, identify what needs to happen, and drive outcomes without waiting for direction
  • Bring solutions, iterate quickly, and communicate confidently under scrutiny

Responsibilities

  • Own Aurora’s member business development funnel
  • Actively source and convert new members through your network
  • Translate high-signal engagement with Aurora into conversions and renewals
  • Represent Aurora directly with members, engaging with prospects and members personally during their first interactions
  • Support their conversion journey and identify opportunities to improve the funnel
  • Ensure each conversion experience reflects Aurora’s standards
  • Develop and manage channel partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with aligned partners, communities, and networks that introduce high-quality prospective members to Aurora
  • Create high-signal events and collaborations
  • Design and execute proprietary events and cultural collaborations in high-signal communities and venues to attract and engage prospective members
  • Build the long-term playbook and team
  • Create the playbook for a world-class member relations function
  • Hire, train, and lead a high-performance onboarding, conversion, and retention team
