About The Position

The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) is the leading independent nonprofit organization representing individuals and families affected by rare diseases. NORD’s membership program supports 360+ patient organizations, and data plays a critical role in ensuring those organizations receive meaningful, high-quality support. This internship is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in how data supports strategy, decision-making, and operational excellence. The Membership Data & Insights Intern will support the Membership team in maintaining and improving data quality within Salesforce, while also helping analyze membership trends and performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying patterns, and improving systems. You will gain hands-on experience with CRM data management and learn how data drives engagement, retention, and strategic planning in a nonprofit environment. The skills you develop — including data management, analysis, and reporting — are highly transferable across operations, business analytics, and program management roles. This is an unpaid internship with a flexible schedule, lasting from May–December 2026. Candidates must be available a minimum of 16-20 hours per week over the summer. Availability during the fall semester is negotiable based on academic schedule and program needs.
