About The Position

This position reports to the Director of Operations and manages the membership program. This position requires an experienced professional, who is a top performer with outstanding organizational skills. This position is responsible for growing, managing and retaining the membership base for Imagination Station through sales, promotions and member events. Imagination Station’s mission is to serve our community by providing informal science education and fun in order to spark a passion for the sciences by combining interactive exhibits and educational programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior sales or fundraising experience preferred
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, database management, and the ability to quickly learn the membership system
• Flexible schedule to include occasional evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Develop membership campaigns while developing and monitoring membership budget.
• Accurately input all memberships into the membership database, print cards and ensure that members receive new cards within a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to inquiries within 24 hours from prospective members and current members.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to lead the development and ongoing updates of membership and promotional materials, including letters, new member welcome packets, newsletters, fact sheets, membership directories, member listings and brochures.
• Coordinate special membership initiative offers and recognition programs such as sneak previews of traveling exhibits and member only events.
• Develop and implement target market strategies for membership direct mail and telemarketing programs to recruit and retain members.
• Create sales incentive programs for front desk staff.
• Identify potential sources of new members and business opportunities.
