About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting management with the supervision of associates in an assigned area, communicating goals, providing direction, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role also involves promoting membership, providing excellent member service, overseeing the assigned area, completing accounting records, and developing processes to meet business needs. Additionally, the Member Team Lead leads and participates in teams, embraces diversity, acts with integrity, serves customers and members, and strives for excellence. The role is based in Laredo, TX.

Requirements

  • 6 months retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register)
  • 6 months customer service experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates, providing direction and guidance, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, encouraging renewals, participating in sales and marketing events, and striving to meet membership goals.
  • Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, supporting self-service technology, assisting with transactions, and ensuring club pickup orders are filled.
  • Oversees assigned area of responsibility by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, organizing and maintaining availability of carts/flatbeds, assisting members with transporting items, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness.
  • Completes accounting records, files transactions, and other required documentation by following accounting office procedures, providing funds for register operation, creating and interpreting financial analysis reports, assisting with investigations, preparing daily deposits, overseeing Cash Fund Transfers, investigating overages and shortages, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, analyzing information, and monitoring progress.
  • Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback and support, and modeling adaptation to change.
