Requirements

• Associate degree and two years of related experience or a combination of education and experience
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask

Nice To Haves

• Prior financial and/or collections experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Contacts and follow-up with members and arrange appropriate action for resolution of accounts not in good standing; including, but not limited to, negative shares, delinquent loans, or suspected fraud
• Monitors accounts, applies payments, negotiate pay arrangements, and makes recommendations for loan rewrites when necessary, including charged off accounts
• Gathers and assesses relevant information about the member(s), business, or personal business’s financial and credit history
• Recommends credit counseling if necessary, and work with outside agencies
• Discusses options with members such as deferral, loan modifications, and forbearance.
• Process and mail necessary applications or documents to members
• Analyzes account applications, documents, lien perfections, forced place insurance, and credit card report in preparation of legal action
• Coordinates transfer of information to Law firm on accounts recommended for our attorneys.
• Communicate with attorneys.
• Acts as credit union representative in Court proceedings.
• Negotiate mediation agreements as needed.
• Recommends and prepare loans for charge off monthly to Member Solutions VP
• Communicates effectively (both verbal and written) with members, internal and external contacts
• Responds professionally to employee and member questions, concerns, and complaints
