About The Position

In the Member Solutions Counselor role, you'll be responsible for keeping open lines of communication with delinquent members for early intervention counseling. You will work closely with investor credit unions and maintain positive working relationships with their collection staff. Using your problem-solving abilities, you will tackle any issues head-on, keeping all parties informed as necessary as you work toward resolutions. You will make daily outbound calls to review members' financial status and develop workable repayment arrangements. You'll have the opportunity to be creative in your approach to developing appropriate resolutions that meet the requirements of all parties involved. You will learn other areas of the mortgage default space to expand your knowledge and drive your career path forward. You will confidently make quick decisions and use sympathy to deescalate situations swiftly, displaying your grit and perseverance during challenging situations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of collections or customer service experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, aiding your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and loss mitigation guidelines.
