About The Position

The Member Services Specialist provides direct support to homeowners, members, and guests in all indoor and outdoor facilities operated by the Sudden Valley Community Association (SVCA). This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with SVCA rules and procedures, and supporting the Association's recreational, administrative, and community programs. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and environments.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail.
  • Accuracy in handling financial transactions, forms, etc.
  • Comfortable taking the initiative to find needed information.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and switch between customer service and task work, as demand requires.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service, recreation, or office environment (in-person, email, or phone support).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests courteously and professionally.
  • Provide accurate information about SVCA programs, services, and facilities.
  • Educate members and the public on SVCA standards, rules, and policies.
  • Perform all customer service desk activities, including but not limited to: Opening and closing facilities as scheduled, Answering phones and assisting callers with questions about SVCA services, Routing incoming calls to appropriate staff/department, Managing the administration of the general administrative mailbox; open and forward emails to appropriate staff; escalate issues to management; respond to routine inquiries, Responding to in-person member questions and concerns promptly and thoroughly; escalate to Office Manager or General Manager as appropriate.
  • Process POS transactions accurately, balancing tills, and adhering to financial procedures.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and readiness for member use.
  • Assist with SVCA events, which may include food and beverage service (food handler permit may be required).
  • Promote SVCA programs, services, and events through drafting content, creating brochures, and assisting with communications.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to upload program and event information to SVCA's website, social media, and e-Blasts, and write articles for The Views newspaper.
