About The Position
The Membership Representative supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time position supports the Membership team as a crucial role for providing membership and program enrollment services. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Must be able to type at least 35 words per minute.
Responsibilities
- Process new memberships and process program registrations; maintain a high level of confidentiality with regard to all personal and financial aspects.
- Respond to inquiries/requests as per department guidelines. This includes but is not limited to contacting department staff for department-specific issues.
- Process retail sales.
- Maintain facility key box; notify supervisor immediately when any key is unaccounted.
- Maintain cash box and balance shifts.
- Adhere to work schedule and primary substitute for others when needed.
- Perform opening and/or closing procedures as required and outlined in department guidelines.
- Follow emergency procedures and safety precautions. Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
- Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in employee handbook and other communications. Obtain and maintain required training(s).
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations. Obtain and maintain required training(s).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
