About The Position

Saco Valley Credit Union, a 2025 Best Place to Work in ME, seeks to add a new team member to our Member Services team. This Temporary Part-Time Member Services Representative will float between our Saco and Waterboro branches to assist in day-to-day branch operations. This is a seasonal position with the expectations that the selected candidate would work during the summer months, heavy holiday months of November and December, and selected other weeks throughout the year, including occasional Saturdays with pay differential. The Member Representative provides direct support by developing and maintaining relationships with our current and potential future members. This role is member-focused and is responsible for transactions, resolving account problems, and providing assistance and information regarding other products and services of the Credit Union. The Member Services Representative will exercise good judgment in various situations, use superb communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and balance multiple competing priorities. This position requires professionalism, flexibility, initiative, and great teamwork.

Requirements

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • High level of regard for trust and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate respectfully with all personality styles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees, members, and other entities, developing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Strong computer and general office equipment knowledge, and willingness to learn new technology.
  • Ability to deal with multiple, changing priorities and interruptions in a multi-faceted work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to organize time effectively and remain flexible to meet competing demands.
