About The Position

This position performs to the best of their abilities during their assigned work shift, monitoring and maintaining club cleanliness and atmosphere. The role requires proficiency in the Planet Fitness mobile app, content, and updates, and ensures all proper training has been completed to operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include conducting regular audits to ensure the club is presentable and meets Excel standards, performing club walkarounds, completing assigned cleaning tasks, and re-inspecting said tasks. The role also involves auditing and balancing cash drawers daily, properly inputting and updating prospective and current member information into tablets and point of sale systems, and ensuring members adhere to company policies and guidelines while addressing any infractions. A key aspect is providing a safe and secure environment for all members, communicating effectively with members to create a high level of service, and stocking retail and janitorial items for the following shift. The position requires understanding and adhering to company standards, helping resolve day-to-day member issues, auditing club inventory, and communicating with management on inventory order recommendations. Staying up-to-date on required certifications and training courses, and participating in team meetings are also essential. The role involves communicating with, promoting, touring, and assisting prospects and potential members, and assisting management with club membership promotions, training, and the implementation of operational strategies. Ensuring the club complies with all state and federal laws and insurance requirements, and operating and assisting applicable members with the use of equipment, tanning, HydroMassage, Total Body Enhancement, and other amenities while ensuring all applicable processes and procedures are adhered to are also part of the duties. Additionally, the role may involve assisting management and representing the company at community events and other outreach activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification and AED Certification are required before working alone.
• Uncertified Team Players will be given the opportunity to complete CPR/AED training within the first 30 days of their employment.
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time.
• Great communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
• Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.
• Proficient ability in Microsoft Office and using a computer.
• Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.
