About The Position

The Member Services team at Trager Family JCC is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of member and guest satisfaction through a welcoming, friendly, and positive approach. Key responsibilities include greeting and welcoming members and guests upon their arrival at the JCC or Health and Wellness Area, confirming membership status, accurately managing point-of-sale transactions, and responding to inquiries both in person and over the phone. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with teammates and cross-departmental partners. The ideal candidate should possess a friendly and easy-going personality, be capable of providing excellent and efficient customer service, handle complaints professionally, and provide accurate information about the Center, its events, and programming. Strong computer skills and a customer-oriented approach are essential.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • experience with databases and/or Microsoft suite is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Primary functions include welcoming and engaging members and guests
  • Maintain a safe and secure facility by ensuring member check-in procedures are followed
  • Address member concerns in a professional manner
  • Utilize the member database to confirm member status, point of sale, etc.
  • Balance the cash drawer accurately after each shift
  • Be knowledgeable about programs and procedures throughout the JCC
  • Exceed expectations when providing members/guests with requested information
  • Promptly refer member/guests to appropriate staff and/or JCC department
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in a friendly, polite and diplomatic manner
  • Promptly and accurately direct all telephone inquiries
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of the JCC emergency procedures plan
  • All other duties as assigned
