About The Position

As a Member Service Specialist, you may look forward to opening new accounts and performing maintenance on existing accounts, interviewing members to obtain information and matching members’ needs to bank products, accurately gathering data, completing written documentation, and inputting information into the bank’s computer system. You will also complete appropriate transaction tickets and take them to the teller line for processing, promote TowneBank and all related bank products, provide exquisite member service to members in person and on the phone, and follow the bank’s security guidelines on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned may include ordering supplies, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits. This role also requires obeying all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of banking experience (with a single employer) working on the sales and service platform in a branch environment providing in-person exquisite member service.
  • Able to learn and retain new product information and promote benefits to members.
  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated to deliver financial services and solutions with only the highest ethical standards.
  • Ability to interact professionally with members on the phone, in-person and via written and email correspondence.
  • Experience resolving member issues in a positive, professional manner through active listening and through the delivery of exquisite service.
  • Can multi-task on a daily basis and can learn new processes effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in a large commercial bank branch.
