About The Position

Maine Savings Federal Credit Union is looking for an MSR/Loan Officer for their Stillwater Ave - Bangor location. The mission of this role is to foster cooperation with members and build their trust by relaying knowledge of how the credit union's products can have a positive impact on their financial lives. Preferred experience includes retail banking, processing loan approvals and denials, opening/closing accounts, and a passion for helping others.

Requirements

3-5 years of similar or related experience preferred.
Prior experience in working with others inside and outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
Working knowledge skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work out of other branches as needed.
Work environment is physically located in the Branch.

Responsibilities

Provides friendly, prompt, professional and accurate service to members and coworkers.
Helps members understand products ranging from unsecured personal, secure vehicle loans, VISA and debt consolidation loans, as well as cross-selling opportunities and making recommendations.
Communicates with and interviews members for consumer loan applications, ensuring compliance with credit union policies (exclusive of equities).
Delivers loan decisions to members within minutes of their application.
Confirms that all loan collateral is properly insured.
Demonstrates understanding and compliance of regulatory and cybersecurity trainings as they relate to workflow.
Periodically assists the Teller line, processing members’ financial transactions and balancing cash drawer.
Demonstrates competency in Digital Banking.
