About The Position

Connex Credit Union is seeking diverse talent for its Member Service Center Representative role. This position serves as a representative for members and prospective members, assisting them with all issues and identifying opportunities to improve their financial well-being through Connex's products and services. The role requires consistently providing excellent customer service in alignment with Connex policies and service standards. Success in the call center, Sales and Service, and ITM teams depends on a blend of patience, inquisitiveness, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on efficient first-call resolution.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of member information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the call center environment.
  • Strong communication and sales skills.
  • High degree of responsibility and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexible about work hours and shifts, including rotating Saturdays and occasional after-hour meetings.
  • High school degree required.
  • 1-2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Answers all inbound phone calls accurately and timely, adhering to call center standards.
  • Responds promptly to member requests via web chat and email.
  • Delivers superior quality service while adhering to corporate, regulatory, and audit guidelines.
  • Takes ownership of member problems and works them to satisfactory resolution using problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
  • Maintains excellent knowledge of products and services to make proper recommendations and referrals.
  • Improves each member’s financial life by offering appropriate products and services during interactions.
  • Processes loan applications for members and assists with consumer lending product inquiries.
  • Meets all sales and service goals consistently and contributes to overall Connex Credit Union goals.
  • Maintains a balanced personal cash drawer and vault in the absence of the Service Coordinator (ITM).
  • Processes mail, audits CD reports, and handles S&S Helpdesk requests (Sales and Service).
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the Member Service Center and the credit union.
