About The Position

Juniper Preserve is seeking a Member's Lounge Server/Bartender! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. SUMMARY The Ghost Tree Lounge Server/Bartender provides exceptional food and beverage service to members and resort guests in a refined lounge environment. This position is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering food, maintaining bar and table service, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience from arrival to departure. This role requires strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and menu offerings while maintaining the welcoming, high-service standards expected at Juniper Preserve.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Current OLCC Servers Permit and Food Handlers Card.
  • Previous restaurant, bar, or lounge service experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a POS system, handle cash accurately, and process credit card transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage service standards.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing guest concerns.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a busy lounge environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests in a warm, professional manner and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
  • Create a welcoming and engaging lounge atmosphere for members, guests, and team members.
  • Present menus and beverage lists and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation.
  • Inform guests of daily specials and make food and beverage recommendations.
  • Check identification to ensure guests meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service.
  • Observe guests to anticipate needs and respond promptly to requests.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
  • Provide continuous service until guests depart and offer a friendly farewell.
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Juniper Preserve standards.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of liquor, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication and appropriately handle intoxicated guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of the bar area.
  • Assist servers with beverage preparation and bar knowledge when needed.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system efficiently.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain table appearance through pre-bussing, clearing dishes, and resetting as needed.
  • Remove dishes and glassware and deliver them to the dishwashing area in an orderly fashion.
  • Prepare and present checks accurately.
  • Process payments including member charges, credit cards, and cash transactions.
  • Balance transactions and follow proper cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including bar, tables, and lounge space.
  • Complete side work and opening/closing duties as assigned.
  • Assist with lounge setup for service and special events when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Juniper Preserve standards.
  • Support other Food & Beverage outlets or teams as needed to ensure smooth resort operations.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with team members across departments.
